There has been a Monumental Masons yard in Prengwyn for over two centuries.

T. J. Williams & Son was established in 1946 by Thomas John Williams having previously taught his craft with a local Monumental Mason in Llanybydder.

We are third generation, family business applying years of dedicated and professional service in monumental masonry, serving the community and also further afield the residents of neighbouring counties.

Today the business is managed by Aled Williams who applies the same working methods, techniques and standards handed down and taught by his father and grandfather before him. The business has invested in modern ways of engraving through the use of a computerised system and the use of mechanical equipment to handle and fix memorials. Engraving was previously by hammer and chisel, a procedure that is still practised by Aled upon request or when circumstances require.

T. J. Williams & Son has also undergone change and development over recent years with possibly, most notably, the construction of a new, spacious, fit for purpose workshop comprising internally of two large workspaces and an office space, along with, externally a tarmacked yard for the clean storage of memorials, and their ease of handling and movement.
